This week-long media academy for teen girls will feature intensive instruction from regional multimedia producers and hands-on multimedia training. Teens will have an opportunity to meet a magazine editor, newspaper reporter, photojournalist, radio DJ, blogger, web designer, graphic artist and TV news anchor. During the summer camp, teen will complete an article, photo essay, graphic design, audio podcast, a video broadcast and more. Registration is open for the Latinitas Multimedia Arts Summer Camp for girls taking place July 11-15. Latinitas will inspire girls in grades 4-8 to find their creative expression outlet by producing original multimedia arts projects during this week-long day camp. Campers will learn how to create original photographs, poems, arts & crafts, audio pieces, essays, designs and short movies. Girls are invited to get in touch with their creative side in the Latinitas Multimedia Art Classes. Girls in grades 4-8 will explore ways to express themselves creatively through photos, writing, arts & crafts and film. This creative expression series is hosted the 2nd Saturday of every month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Judge Marquez Public Library (610 N. Yarbrough). The series is also held the 4th Saturday of every month from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Westside Public Library (125 Belvidere Street). Donations accepted.
